Mechanical Response Analysis of Asphalt Pavement Structure with Embedded Sensor

Long-term and real-time monitoring of asphalt pavement can be carried out by using embedded sensors to perceive predict structural damage during operation period, so as avoid sustained development damage. However, the influence on mechanical properties structure optimization sensing elements needs further studied. Based finite element numerical simulation method, static load model three-point bending test mode were conducted with three “pavement-sensor” coupling without sensor, I-shape corrugated-shape sensor. Three simulated conditions studied comparatively embedding effect response structure. Results show that two structures have a certain stress strain field concrete. Within range 60–100 mm mixture is in state tension; values increase depth maximum tensile at bottom beam. In compression zone, closer embedded. Along axis elements, axial smoother uniform, which ensures deformation coordination road state. The optimal length L 14 cm, diameter φ sensor 10 mm, I-beam GL cm.
